Sen. J.D. Vance Visits YARS
VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, took a tour of the Youngstown Air Reserve Station on Tuesday.
The purpose of the tour was to review multiple projects being worked on, such as fire department upgrades, an unimproved dirt airstrip at Camp Ravenna that could help with cross training and an alternate entry gate at YARS.
“It’s been really gratifying to get a chance to learn a little bit more about what assets we have here,” Vance said. “I think it’s a great thing and we have to hold onto it and build it as much as we can.”
