Senior Apartments in Salem Sell for $1.06M

SALEM, Ohio – A senior living complex in Salem has been purchased by National Church Residences for $1,066,000. The apartment building, at 996 W. Perry St., was previously owned by Salem Senior Housing LLC.

Built in 2006, the building is 5,328 square feet and sits on just more than six acres. According to the Columbiana Count auditor’s office, it is zoned to house 40 or more families.

The sale closed Sept. 2.

National Church Residences, founded in Waverly, Ohio, has expanded to own more than 340 sites in 25 states and Puerto Rico. Across its footprint, the company has 30,000 residents and 2,800 staff.

Its headquarters are in Upper Arlington, just outside of Columbus; it also has a satellite office in Atlanta.

Locally, National Church Residences also owns Broadway Park in Youngstown and Tods Crossing in Warren, as well as Buchanan Manor in Wheatland, Pa., and Neshannock Woods in New Castle, Pa.
