Sheely’s Celebrates 70th Anniversary
NORTH LIMA – Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance, the region’s largest furniture, appliance, mattress and accessories retailer, is celebrating 70 years in business with a donation program.
“As a way of thanking our customers for their years of support, Sheely’s is offering $70 off every $1,000 spent when they donate to Akron Children’s Hospital now through Sept. 10,” said Sheely’s principal owner Jessica Smith. “Plus, they can also get 12 months special financing.”
Sheely’s was founded in 1952 and features more than 100 top brands at its locations in North Lima and Aurora, which have 145,000 square foot in combined showroom space.
Smith credits the store’s many second- and third-generation customers for the continued success of the company, as well as its employees throughout the years.
“Our educated and committed staff, many of whom have been with use for decades, is a major reason why we attract and maintain our customer base,” said Jeff Curry, Sheely’s general manager and principal owner. “Their product knowledge and design sense are unsurpassed in the region. They can answer any inquiry a customer has.”
Offering furniture and home décor items everyday except Sundays, when the store is traditionally closed so employees can spend the day with their families, Sheely’s is not just looking at the past during its celebration.
“Looking back with gratitude on our 70 years of furniture and appliance sales to the region is certainly a reason to celebrate,” said Lance Romeo, Sheely’s buyer and principal owner. “But at the same time, we are maintaining our focus on the future. You can look to Sheely’s to continue to offer quality furniture and appliances for many decades to come.”
