Sheely’s Furniture Brings on Three New Owners
NORTH LIMA, Ohio – After decades of leading the 66-year old furniture retail business, founded by Dale Sheely Sr. in 1952, Dale Jr. and Sherry Sheely will be retiring from Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance, the couple announced today.
Over the years, Sheely’s has built upon its success beginning from the sale of a single hot water heater in 1952 to what it is today.
The new owners are Jessica Smith, granddaughter of Dale Sr., and long-time employees, Jeff Curry, the store’s general manager, and Lance Romeo, a buyer. They will work with the Sheelys to move the company forward during the transition. The store employs 150.
Building upon the momentum of its biannual warehouse sale, the family-owned furniture retailer announced earlier this year the expansion of its operations.
The expansion created space for the new warehouse outlet, just recently opened in mid-2018. The expansion offers customers the opportunity to shop an exclusive selection of special purchases.
