Sheetz Temporarily Drops Fuel Rates for Drivers
YOUNGSTOWN – A stop at one of the 18 Sheetz in the region can mean savings on fuel this holiday weekend.
The mid-Atlantic fuel chain, which additionally specializes in made to order sandwiches and salads at the majority of its locations, announced a reduction in the price of fuel that started on Monday.
The price dropped to $3.99 per gallon for unleaded 88 and $3.49 per gallon for E85.
Unleaded 88 is approved by the EPA for use in vehicles for model years 2001 and newer, as well as light-duty trucks, SUVs and Flex Fuel vehicles. E85, with a higher ethanol level of 51% to 83% is not compatible with all vehicles and is designed for flexible fuel vehicles, which can use E10, E15 and E85.
The price is a limited time offer through the July 4 holiday travel season, designed to reduce the pain at the pump consumers have been feeling as prices have been near the $5 per gallon mark.
Sheetz, Inc. was established in Altoona, Pa. in 1952, operates 650 stores in six states and employs 23,000 employees. The stores are open 24-hours per day, 365 days a year.
