Shepherd of the Valley Property Sold for $2.3M
NILES, Ohio – The former Shepherd of the Valley building at 1500 McKinley Ave. was sold last week to a local provider of addiction recovery services.
New Day Recovery Services LLC closed on the $2.3 million sale of the building on April 15, according to documents from the Trumbull County Auditor. The company looks to announce its plans for the property once they are final.
“There is some planned future expansion into the Niles area of our services,” said Sydney Williams, chief development officer. “We’re hoping to be more accessible to the residents of Trumbull County.”
In July 2020, Shepherd of the Valley relocated residents from the Niles location to its newly constructed $32 million Tibbetts Wick Road property in Liberty Township.
Built in 1973, the multi-resident assisted living location in Niles sits on about two acres of developed property. The 513,572-square-foot lot has 11.79 acres total.
According to a listing on the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Stouffer Realty website, the building has a total capacity of 142 beds, along with conference rooms, nurses stations, two elevators on each floor, laundry rooms, chapel and gazebo.
