Sight for All United Names Sakacs Executive Director

STRUTHERS, Ohio – Sight for All United has named Leah Sakacs its executive director.

Sakacs, a Mahoning Valley native, received her bachelor’s in criminal justice and anthropology from Youngstown State University before moving to the West Coast. There, she completed her master’s in applied anthropology at California State University Long Beach while serving in the Air Force Reserves.

She returned to Youngstown and served as an AmeriCorps member with Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley. Leah then joined the Family & Community Services as a program director and founder of the Senior Support Action Group. She also co-owns Café Rosé, a boutique coffee shop in Austintown.

Leah is past president of the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown, co-chaired the Association of Fundraising Professionals National Philanthropy Day committee, and served as a board member of the Mahoning Valley Irish Festival.

The mission of Sight for All United, a nonprofit, is to help every person reach his or her visual potential and lift barriers for access to care.
