Silly Science Sunday Returns to Downtown Youngstown

Oh Wow!’s Silly Science Sunday event will return to Downtown Youngstown this weekend. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the city’s central square.

This year, instead of hosting a STEM or STEAM event, the children’s science center is taking things a step further and hosting a STREAM event. The newest letter stands for reading or recreation says Colleen Ruby, director of visitor services at Oh Wow!.

“We have the library coming down, they promote reading and Mill Creek Metroparks is going to be here this year. They promote recreation,” she says. The library of Youngstown & Mahoning County will be bringing they’re mobile pop-up library to Silly Science Sunday and Mill Creek Metroparks will bring a portable erosion table.
