Smarts Holiday Open House Shows Growth
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – With a focus on underserved students in grades K-12, the nonprofit Students Motivated by the Arts offers dozens of free classes in visual art, music, dance, theater and creative writing.
The nonprofit organization hosted its annual holiday open house Tuesday, with a special ribbon-cutting to unveil the Richard James Hanson Library.
“We’re continuously growing,” says Becky Keck, president and founder of Smarts. “It seems that our mission meets the need of the community, and that allows us to continue to grow and expand.”
