Sokolov Honors College Student Trustees Offer YSU Driveway Painting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s Sokolov Honors College student trustees are offering members of the community a way to show their Penguin pride.

The students will paint driveways July 8 through Aug, 30. Stencil options will include the Big Y, Big Pete the Penguin, Little Pete the Penguin and a small Pete the Penguin head.

Touch-ups on previously painted YSU logos are also being offered.

For blacktop driveways, it’s recommended not to have them painted within three weeks of their last seal.

Students will travel up to 20 miles away from campus in each direction. Before a painting session, students will reach out via email and phone to confirm a scheduled painting time based on order instructions and location. Residents aren’t required to be home during the painting.
