Sons of American Revolution Honor Chief Bish

Dennis Bish, chief of police and director of public safety at Thiel College, was honored Oct 11 as a “selfless public servant” by the Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Bish, a former helicopter crew chief in the U.S. Army, park ranger and municipal police officer, was presented with the organization’s law enforcement medal. Bish’s “dedication, commitment and personal sacrifice” to serve as a first responder for more than 20 years earned him the award, says Emmett J. Haralson Jr., president of the Benjamin Franklin Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
