Spirtos Joins Salem Radiologists Inc.

Charles Spirtos,  a board certified radiologist, has joined the staff of Salem Radiologists Inc. He is also a member of the medical staff at Salem Regional Medical Center. Spirtos, a graduate of Poland Seminary High School, earned  his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed his residency at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, followed by a fellowship in combined nuclear medicine-PET/CT at Cleveland’s University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Before joining Salem Radiologists, he was a radiologist at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. “Using leading-edge imaging technology such as PET/CT, I can perform a variety of procedures that evaluate changes in organ function, including the heart, kidneys, liver, thyroid, brain and lungs,” Spirtos says. “These studies help physicians detect and treat many conditions in their earliest stages, such as cancer, heart disease, thyroid problems, neurological disorders and other abnormalities.”
