StoneFruit to Add Location in New Canfield Library

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The new Canfield Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will feature products from the StoneFruit Coffee Co. when it opens later this year.

StoneFruit will open a space within the branch to offer coffees and espresso, as well as hot chocolate, frozen hot chocolate, drinks for kids and more.

“The community asked for a café in the new library, but for several reasons, we were not able to place a full restaurant in this location,” says Heidi Daniel, library executive director. “A self-serve coffee bar and seating area were planned. However, we never forgot the request from the community and when an opportunity arose with StoneFruit Coffee, we were excited to enhance this space with an expanded service.”

StoneFruit, which operates just down the street in Canfield from the new library branch location, offers a variety of Youngstown-themed selections, including “Federal Street,” “Idora Perk” and “Tech Belt.”

“This is an opportunity that allows us to not only serve our original customers, but to reach new demographics where we can share our passion of the coffee industry, as well as educate customers on topics such as coffee origins, processes, preparation, and, most importantly, what we are about,” says Josh Langenheim, chief “coffee meister” at StoneFruit. “We appreciate the opportunity the library has given us to expand and serve the community.”

“We at the library are excited to begin this partnership and be able to give our customers something they have asked for, a place to gather and enjoy a terrific coffee or other beverage,” Daniel says. “And we hope they will check out some books, attend a library program or take advantage of our many services while they’re there, too.”
