Stoops Brothers to Be Honored at United Way Dinner
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley’s will hold its annual Champions Among Us Dinner May 16 at The Lake Club in Poland, where they will honor the four Stoops brothers – Bob, Mike, Mark and Ron.
The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion with the brothers.
The Stoops brothers, aAl four football coaches, graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. Bob Stoops won a national title with the University of Oklahoma in 2000 and this past season played in a national semifinal game with Mike Stoops as his defensive coordinator. Mark Stoops is the head coach at the University of Kentucky and Ron Stoops is the special teams coordinator at Youngstown State University.
The dinner will feature live and silent auctions, as well as raffle for a two-year lease for a 2016 Cadillac ATS. Raffle tickets are $100 apiece and only 200 will be sold. All proceeds from the raffle and auctions will go to the United Way.
