Struthers City Schools to Host Open House for Transportation Facility

STRUTHERS, Ohio – Struthers City Schools will host an open house for the community to tour its newly constructed transportation facility at 300 ½ Creed St.

The open house will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27.

The school district held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in December and has been operating from the 11,000-square-foot building since then. It houses 12 buses and a district van, as well as the transportation supervisor’s office and a conference room.

“We look forward to having our community come check out this major upgrade for our district,” said Pete Pirone, Struthers City Schools superintendent.

The building was funded using a combination of grant funds, a lease purchase agreement and local funds.
