Students Lead Peers on Tours of Humtown Additive
LEETONIA – When it comes to introducing youths to manufacturing, Humtown Additive is allowing students to lead the way.
In recognition of Manufacturing Day on Friday, Humtown Additive released two new videos that continue an initiative that began last year with two sixth-grade students.
Having previously learned the 3D sand printing process, the students took a group of their peers on a tour of Humtown Additive and shared their knowledge using their own perspective. A video of the tour, Chapter 1 in the “Through the Lens of My Friends” series, can be viewed HERE.
Chapter 2, led by ninth-grade students, can be viewed HERE. Chapter 3, led by 12th-grade students, can be viewed HERE.
Manufacturing Day, which is celebrated nationally on the first Friday in October, is an initiative of the Manufacturing Institute to inspire the next generation to consider careers in modern manufacturing.
