Summer Manufacturing Camp Explores 3D Printing and Urban Design
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown’s Summer Manufacturing Camp is in its 11th year of providing children a real-world understanding of manufacturing.
This year’s theme is 3D printing and urban design. Participants explored Youngstown’s downtown area to see what development looks like up close. Later in the week, they’ll get to 3D printed water bottle clips that can be used on bicycles.
“We’re really excited to be continuing this legacy and continuing this tradition and being able to help this grow with being able to reach more students in the Valley,” says Marvin Logan, executive director at Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology.
