Sweeney’s Operation Santa Campaign to Benefit Local United Way

BOARDMAN, Ohio — Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC is donating $50 for every new Chevrolet, Buick or GMC vehicle sold during the month of December for its annual Operation Santa campaign.

Proceeds will benefit the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

In addition to the $50 donations, the dealership will match any customer donation made to the United Way, up to $10,000, during the campaign, according to a release. Contributions will be accepted at the dealerships or through YMVUnitedWay.harnessapp.com/wv2/donate. To donate, click the drop-down menu under Choose A Campaign and select Operation Santa.

“This is one of our favorite annual events, and it’s a credit to our loyal, community-minded customer base that we’ve been able to help so many worthwhile non-profit organizations each year,” said Alexa Sweeney Blackann, president of Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC.

Since 2013, Operation Santa has raised $200,000 for local charities, according to the release. Employees at Sweeney have a long history of supporting the United Way.
