Taft Promise Job Fair Takes Place Thursday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Taft Promise Neighborhood Job Fair will be held at Youngstown Metro Assembly Church, 2530 South Ave., on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Recruiters from local institutions, businesses, and organizations will be present to take employment applications and resumes from Youngstown residents.

Also on hand will be attorneys from Community Legal Aid Services who will conduct legal clinics to assist job seekers who may need assistance with driver’s license issues, advice on obtaining a Certificate of Qualification for Employment, or help with other obstacles to employment.

Taft Promise Neighborhood was organized in 2014 to revitalize and strengthen the neighborhood surrounding Taft School on Youngstown’s south side. Progress is fueled through the efforts of residents and partner organizations that comprise: education, jobs and economy, health and wellness, neighborhood and safety, and resident engagement.
