TBEIC Announces Trio of New Board Members

WARREN, Ohio – The Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center has announced three additions to its board of directors: Philip Walker, John Lauletta and Bill Merkel.

“I am excited to welcome our three newest members to our board of directors,” said TBEIC’s vice president and chief operating officer, Rick Stockburger, in a release. “They are all entrepreneurial and subject matter experts in the energy and Internet of Things fields with an abundance of leadership experience nationwide.”

A Warren native, Walker is the founder of Network Solutions Provider. The company has made Inc. magazine’s Fast 5000 list annually from 2011 to 2015 and was ranked No. 87 on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Private Companies list. Network Solutions Provider, based in Manhattan Beach, Calif., offers telecommunication services with a focus on cloud-based solutions.

Lauletta has served as president and CEO of Exacter Inc. since 2006. The company focuses on the Industrial Internet of Things, specifically on integrating the technology with electric utilities. Prior to that, he spent 14 years as the vice president of Scientific Columbus and 10 years with American Electric Power as measurements manager. He holds several patents in predictive failure technologies.

Merkel, a graduate of Howland High School, is the vice president of planning and marketing for Nidec Industrial Solutions. With a background in product development, engineering, marketing and sales, he current leads project estimating and marketing teams for Nidec, an industrial company specializing in power controls and systems.
