TCTC, QuickMed Open On-Campus Wellness Clinic
WARREN, Ohio – Trumbull Career & Technical Center has partnered with QuickMed Urgent Care to open an on-campus health and wellness clinic.
Beginning this month, TCTC students can be referred to the clinic by school nurses for basic care at no cost to families or students. The Ohio Department of Education’s Student Wellness and Success Fund is paying for the clinic.
“We feel this is a meaningful way to leverage the state’s funds,” said TCTC program supervisor and interim director Paula Baco in a statement. “The clinic will play a key role in supporting the health care needs of our students, keeping them in school to be evaluated, and to improve their overall wellbeing.”
In cases where outside testing is necessary or for services that require that a family’s insurance provider is billed, parents or guardians will receive notification before the clinic proceeds.
The TCTC clinic’s QuickMed provider is Jeff Branham, certified nurse practitioner. The clinic is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The partnership follows a similar program QuickMed runs in Youngstown City Schools’ Chaney and East high schools.
