The Agent Insurance Services Welcomes Customers to Salem Location

SALEM, Ohio – With access to more than 300 rated companies like Erie, Grange and Liberty Mutual Insurance, and more than two decades of experience, The Agent Insurance Services celebrated the grand opening Thursday at its newest location on Columbia Street ihere.

Focusing on business owners, but welcoming families as well, The Agent has the experience to navigate a long list of insurance needs. Additionally, the company, founded by Ron Nanosky, strives to provide personal attention to clients and help them feel comfortable with the insurance coverages chosen for their needs.

The new office of the Agent Insurance Services is in the former location of Sanor Insurance Agency. Morgan McGowan, marketing coordinator, has been busy leading the efforts to update the building, “making it feel like us.”

One of the slogans on the bright and modern wall says “Relationship First,” which is something Nanosky believes is paramount in the insurance business. It may be what helped them get the nod to purchase the location from the owners of the Sanor Insurance Agency.

Nanosky said there were a dozen agencies interested and bidding to purchase the Sanor Insurance Agency when Donna and David Sanor retired after 30 years earlier this year. He was honored when the Sanors chose his small agency.

“When we did the acquisition, the Sanors were looking for someone who would take care of their customers,” Nanosky said as he greeted each customer attending the grand opening celebration.

To Nanosky, taking care of those customers means personal communication, making sure there is a live person answering the phone and someone available with the experience and knowledge to answer the customer’s questions, provide them with a quote or insurance advice. He believes in providing both quick and quality service, getting those customers their answers and insurance options without delay.

The Agent employs 15 with some staff to be located full-time at the Salem location to provide that personal attention. The rest will be only a teleconference away, which can be set up in the conference room at the Salem office, giving everyone access to both those agents working remotely or at The Agent Insurance Services headquarters is along state Route 224 in Boardman at 6911 Bridgewood Drive.

After growing into that location, Nanosky was looking to expand into Columbiana County when he got the opportunity to purchase Sanor Insurance Agency location for an undisclosed amount. He also plans for a future expansion into Trumbull County.

Nanosky started his agency in his parents’ basement in 1999. With all the growth and success, he emphasizes the importance of making sure the customers never feel like a number. He believes in explaining a client’s policy to them, so they know the details of what their insurance covers.

“We’re all about the why,” Nanosky said.

As part of her job, McGowan said she connects to customers with personal reminders when their insurance policy is due for a review. She also handles the social media for the company. A visit to the business Facebook page celebrates upcoming events for customers and the community as well.

Today for Veteran’s Day, the agency has teamed up with Salem Tire Pros Auto Service to provide coupons to thank veterans for their service. A military veteran ID will be required to receive a gift at The Agent’s Salem location. Up to 50 veterans will receive a free oil change valued at up to $40.

On Flag Day members of the community can bring an old flag to be retired and receive a new one. This summer, The Agent held a customer appreciation movie night, showing “Back to the Future,” at the Cinemark Tinseltown, an event that included giveaways and prizes.
