The Hoyt Presents Two New Exhibits Friday
NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Arts & Education at the Hoyt will hold a reception at 6 p.m. May 28 in its main galleries, 124 E. Leasure Ave., for two new exhibits featuring artists Christopher Clamp and Raul Diaz.
The commonplace objects featured in Clamp’s paintings represent the artifacts of his childhood experience with his beloved grandfather, often toys and other treasures his grandfather collected, according to an announcement of the exhibit.
Diaz’s nostalgic paintings and sculpture also “look at the child we once were” in a dream-like environment of texture and tone, states the announcement.
Admission to the opening reception is free and light refreshments will be served.
The exhibits will be on display through July 27.
