The Update | Bill Engvall Coming to Robins Theatre; Lawrence Tourism Guide Available

WARREN, Ohio – Bill Engvall, one of the country’s most popular comedians, will come to The Robins Theatre on Oct. 15 for two performances: 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Tickets range from $69 to $30 (plus applicable fees; all seats reserved) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at RobinsTheatre.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office, 160 E. Market St., weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A presale will begin Thursday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m. for members of Friends of the Robins Theatre. To join, go to the website.

Engvall was a regular on the Fox sitcom “Last Man Standing.” He played the role of Reverend Paul. 

He also was also part of the “Blue Collar Comedy” concert films, which sold over 9 million units and received a Grammy nomination. 

Engvall starred on the WB’s hit sketch comedy show “Blue Collar TV” and in several solo specials for Comedy Central. In 2012 he reunited with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy on the “Them Idiots Whirled Tour,” which aired on CMT.

Lawrence County Tourism Guide Available

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Visit Lawrence County has released its 2022 Official Visitors Guide of Lawrence County.

The magazine includes information on the best things to do in the county, including outdoor recreation, dining, arts and culture, wine and brew, Amish country and more. 

It includes maps of the Stavich Bicycle Trail and the North Country National Scenic Trail, which offers 29  miles of off-road hiking in the county. 

There is also information on a self-guided tour of the Amish countryside and other areas.

The guides are visible throughout the state at highway welcome enters and select rest areas.

The 2022 guide will be available at Visit Lawrence County or at brochure racks at the following locations: Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, Lawrence County Government Center, The Confluence, Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce, Premium Outlets at Grove City, the Pittsburgh Airport, New Castle Airport and various businesses throughout the county.

Dana Chorale in Concert with Chamber Choir

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Dana Chorale, under the direction of Hae-Jong Lee, will perform with the Cleveland Chamber Choir on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at Case Western Reserve University’s Amasa Stone Chapel, 10940 Euclid Ave, Cleveland. The concert is free and open to the public. 

A preconcert talk, “In Conversation: Cecilia McDowall with Charles Edward McGuire,” will begin at 6:15 p.m.   

The Dana Chorale was invited with the Case Western Reserve University Choir to perform with the Cleveland Chamber Choir, conducted by Scott McPherson.

McDowall, a renowned British composer, will be the guest artist at the concert.

Lakeview High Band to Perform with YSU Outfit

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Lakeview High School band will join the Youngstown State University Concert Band for a concert at Stambaugh Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Tickets are $8 ($7 for senior citizens; free for anyone with a valid YSU ID).
