The Update | Comedy Troupe in Benefit Show; New Exhibitions at The Hoyt
SALEM, Ohio – Double i Indigo Improv will present a comedy show at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the First Christian Church of Salem, 1151 E. Sixth St., to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Ohio.
“The Epilepsy Foundation is a particularly meaningful organization because it supports families like one of our actors, Melissa Kuttler,” said Amy Winner, a member of the troupe. “Her son was diagnosed with epilepsy at 14 months old and is an inspiration to us all. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back in this way.”
The suggested donation is $10 per person at the door, and all proceeds go to The Epilepsy Foundation of Ohio.

New Exhibitions Open at The Hoyt
NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Two new exhibitions will open today at Arts & Education at the Hoyt and run through April 27.
Watercolor paintings by J.D. Titzel is in the Main Galleries, and the fourth annual Mini Masterpiece display is in the Blair Sculpture Walkway.
Titzel will attend an artist’s reception from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Drone Racing League to Host Tournament
VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – The Trumbull County Drone Racing League, sponsored by the Trumbull County Educational Service Center, will present its second annual tournament Saturday, March 25, at 8 a.m. at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and Winner Aviation, 1453 Youngstown-Kingsville Road NE.
The drones will take to the skies at 9 a.m., with the finals matches beginning at 11:45 a.m. Nine Trumbull County schools are set to compete in the event and will be judged on overall presentation, capture the flag and head-to-head competition.
Dana Ensembles Present Choral Concert
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University Dana School of Music will present the Dana Spring Choral Concert, “Love, Laugh, Longing, Harmony, and Praise,” as part of its Choral Masterworks Series on Monday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. at Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St.
The featured ensembles will be the Dana Chorale, directed by Hae-Jong Lee, and Voices of YSU, directed by Adam Howard.
The program will include some of the most enduring choral masterworks from the Renaissance to contemporary composers.
Admission is free.
