The Update | Ja Rule Coming to The Amp; Columbiana County Fair to Open

YOUNGSTOWN – Ja Rule will come to Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on Sept. 24.

Tickets are $119.50, $99.50, $75, $49.50 and $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 5 at ticketmaster.com (fees apply) and the Covelli Centre box office.

Ja Rule had several hits in the early 2000s, including “I’m Real” with Jennifer Lopez, “Always on Time” with Ashanti, and “Wonderful” with R. Kelly and Ashanti.

Columbiana County Fair Opens Monday

LISBON, Ohio – The Columbiana County Fair will open Monday, Aug. 1, and run through Aug. 7 at the fairgrounds, 225 Lee Ave.

Admission is $6 on Monday (no rides), and $10 Tuesday through Aug. 7 (includes all rides).

All grandstand events are except Wednesday’s bull riding show ($1); the truck and tractor pull Friday and Saturday ($5); and Sunday’s demolition derby ($5).

Brett Eldredge Concert at The Amp

YOUNGSTOWN – Country music star Brett Eldredge will perform at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $37.50 to $75 (plus fees) at ticketmaster.com.

Tra’s Gourmet Sandwiches Unveils Schedule

YOUNGSTOWN – Tra’s Gourmet Sandwiches food trailer will be at the Columbiana County Fair in Lisbon Aug. 1-7. The trailer, owned and operated by Travon Eley, offers vegan burgers, a beef burger, maple chicken and waffles, fried chicken sandwiches, sausage sandwiches and a jalapeno cheddar grilled cheese sandwich.

Aug. 27: Southern Park Mall drug awareness event.
