NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Jackie Evancho will spread holiday cheer during her concert at Westminster College’s Orr Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.
The vocalist, who was a past runner-up on “America’s Got Talent,” will present An Evening of Holiday Cheer. She will sing timeless holiday classics such as “O Holy Night,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “White Christmas” and many more.
Evancho gained stardom at age 10 as the youngest-selling solo platinum artist of all time. She has since sold millions of records and performed all over the world.

Winter Nights Events at Fellows Gardens
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center’s Winter nights exhibit will open Saturday, Dec. 2, and run through Jan. 2.
The visitor center, at Fellows Riverside Gardens, will be adorned with 60 holiday trees, decorated by area nonprofit organizations.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.
Guests can take a frosty evening stroll in the gardens at this year’s Winter Nights events on Dec. 3, 10 and 17. The grounds will be adorned with light displays. Mrs. Claus will make an appearance Dec. 3; Buddy and Jovie on Dec. 10; and Cindy and Mr. Grinch on Dec. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Hoyt House Decorated for the Season
NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Tours of the elaborately decorated Alex Crawford Hoyt Period House will continue through Dec. 30.
Twelve rooms featuring 20 trees and thousands of lights adorn the house, amid the art and antiques of the museum operated by The Hoyt.
Guests can take self-guided tours through the home, or schedule a guided tour in advance by calling 724 652 2882. Admission is $5 per person.
The Hoyt’s gift shop will be open, offering a unique selection of handcrafted gift items. The Hoyt is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
