The Update | Katt Williams, Buddy Guy, Baby Shark Coming to Valley; Paczki Event at Deli

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Katt Williams will come to Covelli Centre on May 7. The comedian’s show will feature new material.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $128, $102, $78 and $62 (plus applicable fees) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Ticketmaster.com, and at the Covelli box office.

Paczki Donuts Festival at Kravitz Deli

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – The annual Paczki, Polkas and Piwo festival will take place Tuesday, March 1, at Kravitz Deli, 3135 Belmont Ave.

The event celebrates the paczki, a large and rich stuffed jelly doughnut that is a pre-Lenten tradition in Poland. It will also feature polka music and Polish beer, or “piwo.”

Paczki will be sold with several fillings, including apricot, custard, rosehip jam, half custard-half rosehip jam, and plain sugared. The price is $2.75 per paczki, or $16 for a half dozen of a single flavor.

Also returning is the paczki slider, a plain sugared paczki sliced in half, grilled and topped with kielbasa, red onions, brown mustard and a pickle slice.

Baby Shark Live! Coming to Packard Hall

WARREN, Ohio – Baby Shark Live!, the immersive concert experience, will come to Packard Music Hall on May 8. 

Tickets are $62.50, $42.50, $32.50 and $27.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Ticketmaster.com (fees apply) and the Packard box office.

The inaugural tour of Baby Shark Live! launched in 2019 and played to sellout crowds across the country. It follows Baby and his friend Pinkfong on an adventure and features new and classic children’s songs such as “Five Little Monkeys,” “Wheels on the Bus,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Monkey Banana” and of course, “Baby Shark.”

The “Shark Dance” music video became the first-ever video to hit 10 billion views on YouTube. Nickelodeon is now airing “Baby Shark’s Big Show!,” a preschool television series.

Blues Master Buddy Guy Coming to Robins

WARREN, Ohio – Grammy Award winning blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy will come to the Robins Theatre on May 20.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. concert range from $85 top $30 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March, at RobinsTheatre.com and at the Robins box office.

A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Guy was a major influence on rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Rolling Stone magazine ranked him No. 23 on its 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list.

The 82-year-old’s latest album, “The Blues Is Alive and Well,” was released in 2018.
