The Update | Lisa Torrence in Show at Rust Belt Theater; Rockapella at Stambaugh

YOUNGSTOWN – Rust Belt Theater Company will present “Enter, Lisa Torrence” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12-13, in the return of its one-person showcase series.

Torrence’s singing and writing talents will be on display as she wanders through her timeline and wonders about life, love and how she managed to make it this far.

Rust Belt was forced to cancel the annual shows for the past two years because of the pandemic.

Robert Dennick Joki, director of the theater, described the program’s purpose.

“Each theater season we choose a VIP, someone who has gone above and beyond and is ready to take their performances to the next level,” he said. “A one-person show is a huge undertaking that can really challenge a performer. It gives them a chance to explore their talent.”

Tickets are $15 regular admission. For reservations, call 330 507 2358.

Rust Belt Theater Company is located inside Club Switch, 221 Belmont Ave., downtown.
