The Update | Millennial Presents ‘Grease’; New Date for Wrestling; Christopher Cross to Return

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Millennial Theatre Company will present “Grease” for six performances this weekend and next at the Youngstown Playhouse.

Curtain times will be at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:30 p.m. Sundays.

 “Grease” is one of the largest musicals Millennial has mounted, said director Joe Asente.

“When people come to see ‘Grease,’ most have certain expectations that need to be met, and no expense was spared in our production to ensure that those expectations were not just met but exceeded,” he said.

 The production will feature a full-size car on stage, a live band, and dazzling choreography, he said.

The cast includes Ryan Lamb, Emily Choleva, Sarahh Kinser, Rebecca Williams, Natalina Kazimir, Kaleigh Ceci, Dominic Adams, Ryan Stewart, Courtney Martin, Tommy Deluca, George Maillis, Gene Metro, Ben Doss, Brianna Rae Quinn, Karlina Wander, Daniel Chiaberta, Mark Williams, Liz Amstutz, Liam Morrison, Hannah Derenzis, Briana Wagner-Matijevivic, Cheyenne Wilkinson, Mia Gagliano, Michelle Jalbert, Angela Toro, Natalie Toro, Heleena Thomas and Kady McClain.

Music director is Anthony Ruggiero and choreographer is Aubrie Morrison.

Christopher Cross Coming to Robins Theatre

WARREN, Ohio – Fresh off of his tour with Rubber Soul, Christopher Cross will return to the Robins Theatre on Sept. 10 for an encore performance of his 40th anniversary tour show.

Tickets range from $40 to $60 (plus applicable fees). A VIP package is available. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, at robinstheatre.com. and the Robins Theatre box office at 160 E Market St.

Christopher Cross made history with his 1980 self-titled debut album, winning five Grammy Awards, including — for the first time in Grammy history — the four most prestigious categories: Record of the Year (for the single “Sailing”), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (also “Sailing”), and Best New Artist.

New Date for Wrestling Event at Eastwood

NILES, Ohio – Due to unavailability of talent at the original event date, Wrestling Under the Stars at Eastwood Field has been rescheduled to Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The event will feature Malakai and other wrestling stars to be announced.

Tickets can be purchased at mvscrappers.com, the Eastwood Field box office, and by phone at 330 505 0000. Tickets purchased for theoriginal date (July 30) will be honored for the new date.

A fan meet-and-greet session for all in attendance will take place prior to the event. Fans will have the opportunity to take photos and get autographs from the stars for an additional charge.
