The Update | ‘Miracle on Easy Street’ Tickets on Sale; Michael Stanley Tribute Concert
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – “Miracle on Easy Street” by Easy Street Productions will return to Powers Auditorium for three performances Dec. 13-15.
The festive and high-spirited holiday season song and dance revue – now in its 35th year – is a Mahoning Valley tradition. It features scores of dancers, live music and vocalists.
Easy Street co-founders Maureen Collins and Todd Hancock will again serve as hosts of “Miracle,” joining more than 100 singers, dancers and Little Rascals youth troupe members.
Featured performers will include James McClellan, Colleen Chance, Katy Collins and Candace Campana.
Cortney MacKay, a “Miracle” alumnus, will return as a soloist.
Musical director Don Yallech will lead the Easy Street Little Big Band. The dancers, led by choreographer Megan Cleland, are from studios across the Valley.
Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.

Michael Stanley Band Tribute Concert at Robins
WARREN, Ohio – In the Heartland: The Music of the Michael Stanley Band will return to the Robins Theatre on Feb. 15 for a 7 p.m. concert.
The opening act will be Movin’ On, a Bad Company tribute act.
In the Heartland played to a near-sellout audience at the Robins about a year ago. The band is led by former MSB member Danny Powers. Some original MSB members will join in at the concert as special guests.
Tickets range from $19 to $39 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at RobinsTheatre.com and the box office, 160 E. Market St.
A presale for members of Friends of the Robins Theatre will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The late Kelly Derrick formed his first MSB tribute band, Stagepass, in 1991, with Stanley’s full support. In the Heartland is the most recent version of his MSB tribute band, formed in 2021.
In the Heartland is composed of former MSB member Danny Powers on lead guitar, Eric Brooke on guitar and lead vocals, Johnny Sustar on keyboards, Bill March on bass, Michael Scott Nelson on drums and Mark Rasnick on saxophone.
Former Anchorman Joe Bell to Discuss Career
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Joe Bell, a former anchorman for WKBN Channel 27 in Youngstown from 1992 to 2007, will discuss his broadcasting career at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the meeting room of Denny’s restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave.
Bell’s lecture is part of the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society’s lecture series. He replaces Casey Malone, who was originally scheduled to speak but had to cancel.
Bell is currently the director of corporate communications for the Cafaro Corp., which owns and operates the Eastwood Mall Complex and many other shopping centers and malls nationwide.

Westminster College to Present ‘Grease’
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Westminster College and its Titan Theatre Group will present “Grease” this weekend in Orr Auditorium.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.
The iconic musical spawned several popular songs, including “Summer Nights.”
The show is open to the public. Tickets are $20 for general admission (free for children 10 and under; $5 for students with an ID) and can be purchased at the door or online HERE.
Smarts to Present Annual Family Dinner
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Students Motivated by the Arts will present its annual family dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 343 Via Mt. Carmel Way.
Doors will open at 5:15 p.m.; dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.; and the program will begin at 6:15 p.m. The evening will include a spaghetti dinner, student demonstrations, raffles, a wine pull and a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are $30 ($15 for students; free for children under age 5) and can be purchased HERE. The deadline is today.
The keynote speaker will be Bill Mullane, who will share how the arts have played a pivotal role in his own leadership journey.
