The Update | Rauschenbach to Exhibit Art; Auditions for ‘You Can’t Take It with You’

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – “All-New Destinations,” an exhibition of paintings by Youngstown artist Daniel Rauschenbach, will open Jan. 7 at The Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., downtown, and run through the end of the month.

An artist’s reception will take place Jan. 7 from 5 to 9 p.m.

“All-New Destinations” is a collection of watercolor paintings of wildlife in Ohio and the East Coast. The artist uses watercolors to add metallic highlights to his bold and bright paintings.

Rauschenbach has developed a series of works based on his travels and has stories to accompany every painting. 

Auditions for ‘You Can’t Take It with You’

LISBON, Ohio – Auditions for Stage Left Players’ production of “You Can’t Take It with You“ will take place today and Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way.

Director John Diddie is seeking to fill a cast of 18.

“You Can’t Take It With You” is a classic comedy that won both the Pulitzer Prixe for Best Play and the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Rehearsals will begin immediately. The show will run Feb. 11-13 and 18-20.
