The Update | Robins Theatre Announces 5 Concerts by Tribute Acts

WARREN, Ohio – Five concerts by by tribute bands that salute Fleetwood Mac, Meatloaf, Billy Joel and Elton John, the Moody Blues and the Bee Gees were announced are coming to The Robins Theatre.

Tickets for all go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18 at RobinsTheatre.com and at the box office, 160 E. Market St. An online-only presale will take begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, accessible to Friends of the Robins Theatre only. To sign up, go to the website.

All concerts start at 8 p.m. Here is the schedule:

May 13: Fleetwood Mac Experience.

June 10: Bat, a celebration of Meatloaf.

Nov. 5: 52nd Street – The Music of Billy Joel and Captain Fantastic.

Nov. 19: Time Traveller, Moody Blues tribute show.

Dec. 9: Stayin’ Alive, Bee Gees tribute.

Shamrock the Block in Downtown Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN – Shamrock the Block will take place Thursday and Friday, March 17 and 18, in downtown Youngstown, with live music, including Hoss and Juggernauts, Whiskey Pilot, The Shoe Shine Boys and Northern Whiskey.

Specials will be offered at 12 participating downtown Youngstown bars and restaurants and in an tent that will be erected on Federal Street for this St. Patrick’s Day celebration. 

‘Romeo and Juliet’ at Kent Trumbull Theatre

WARREN, Ohio – Kent State Trumbull Theatre’s production of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” will is entering its second and final weekend.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. March 18 and 19 and 2 p.m. March 20.

Eric S. Kildow, Kent State Trumbull assistant professor and theater director, directs the classic.

“It’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with no frills,” Kildow said. “We have eliminated some of the scenes in this pared-down production.”
