The Update | ‘Rock of Ages’ at Salem Theater; Tomb of Unknown Soldier Replica at Museum
SALEM, Ohio – Salem Community Theatre will present “Rock of Ages: The Revival” for three nights, June 23-25.
The rock musical, set on LA’s famed Sunset Strip in 1989, features music excerpts from songs of the era. Performances start at 7 p.m. each night.\Tickets are $12 (open seating) plus fees and can be purchased in advance at SalemCommunityTheatre.org and before each performance.
Monument Replica Coming to Museum
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Armstrong is bringing Exchange Club of Rome’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Replica tour coming to the War Vets Museum, 23 E. Main St., Canfield, June 29 and 30, from noon to 7 p.m. both days.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, Va., is dedicated to American service members who have died without their remains being identified.
The touring replica is an exact duplicate scaled to half of the original size
Date Nights at The Hoyt Art Center
NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Arts & Education at the Hoyt will present four Date Nights, at which couples can make art together with other couples.
The events take place outdoors when possible on Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $75/couple for members, $100/couple for nonmembers, and includes adult beverages, snacks and all required materials and equipment. Options include:
Stained Glass, June 25; Linoleum Block Printing, July 16; Raku Firing, Aug. 6;
Pewter Casting, Aug. 13.

Comedy Show at the JCC
YOUNGSTOWN — As part of its J. Newman Levy speaker series, the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown will feature comedian Mark Klein in a dinner-show from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 29 at the JCC, 505 Gypsy Lane.
