The Update | Street Scene Car Show; Band Festival at Winery; Discount Fair Tickets

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Armstrong is teaming up with The American Heart Association to present the 10th annual Street Scene Car & Custom Bike Show on July 24 at Austintown Park.

Registration to enter a car, truck or motorcycle is $10, spectators are admitted free and all proceeds go to The American Heart Association.  Registration is 10 a.m. to noon and the show is from noon to 3:30 p.m.

The Street Scene Car & Custom Bike Show continues to take pride as being one of the best and largest shows in the Mahoning Valley. Youngstown’s Vegas Band will play from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  DJ Thomas John will follow and announce door prize winners during the afternoon

Rick Gurrera and co-host Krysta Sylvester of the Armstrong Neighborhood Channel show “Street Scene” will be recording a special episode at the event. 

Community Band Fest at Mastropietro

BERLIN CENTER – The Canfield Community Band is hosting Winds at the Winery, a community band festival, at Mastropietro Winery, 14558 Ellsworth Road, on Saturday, July 24 from 1-8 p.m.

Now in its fifth year, the festival features performances by seven local community bands and small ensembles. Proceeds will support The Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation for pediatric brain tumor research. The family friendly event includes a kids area with activities and prizes.

Food will be available for purchase from the winery, The Food Cruiser, and Guy’s BBQ. Wine and beer will also be available for purchase from the winery. Guests may bring their own food and soft drinks, as well as lawn chairs or blankets. Picnic tables and chairs will be available on a first-come first-serve basis, Here is the schedule:

1 p.m.: Canfield Community Band Brass

2 p.m.: Mahoning Valley Flute Ensemble

3 p.m.: Cortland Dixieland Band

4 p.m.: Ashtabula Brass Band

5 p.m.: Cortland Community Band

6 p.m.: Canfield Community Concert Band

7 p.m.: Austintown-Fitch Alumni Jazz Band

Canfield Fair Discount Ride Passes on Sale

CANFIELD, Ohio – The Canfield Fair Board of Directors is pleased to announce that discounted advance purchase

Discounted all-day ride passes for the Canfield Fair are on sale through Aug. 28 at the administration building on the fairgrounds. The cost is $20, which reflects a 33% savings. Discount admission tickets (for three or six admissions) are also available for purchase at the administration building and at canfieldfair.com.

Advance ride all day passes are only available for purchase in person at the administration building Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets to the World’s Largest Demolition Derby, the truck & tractor pull, as well as the Sam Hunt and John Fogerty concerts can also be purchased at the administration building and at canfieldfair.com and ticketmaster.com.
