The Update | Theater Presents ‘You Can’t Take It With You’; Wonderstruck Unveils Lineup

LISBON, Ohio – Stage Left Players’ production of “You Can’t Take It with You” opens a two-weekend run Friday at Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way.

John Diddle is directing the classic comedy about the quirky Sycamore family which embraces Grandpa Vanderhof’s philosophy of living passionately.

Show times are 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $12 ($10 for students and senior citizens). For reservations, go to stageleftplayers.org. Tickets will also be sold at the door.

Vampire Weekend, Lumineers at Rock Fest

CLEVELAND – WonderStruck In Cleveland rock festival’s 2022 lineup includes headliners Vampire Weekend and The Lumineers.

The sixth annual event will take place July 9-10 at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland.

The lineup also includes Michael Franti & Spearhead, All Time Low, rapper-turned-popstar 24kGoldn, Tai Verdes, Saint Motel, Dean Lewis, Big Freedia and more. Northeast Ohio will be represented by .wavrunner, Detention and Jack Harris. 

Tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb. 11, at noon at Wonderstruckfest.com. Best pricing will be in effect on that day only, as prices will increase in steps on Feb. 12, Feb. 18, June 1 and July 4 (if tickets still remain).

‘Harry Potter’ Movie Event at The Robins

WARREN, Ohio – Moxie Events will present the movie “Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone” at The Robins Theatre on March 27 at 1:30 p.m., with special surprises.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $30 for children, and include a magical goodie bag with popcorn, Bertie Botts flavored beans, glow in the dark glasses, Wizard Potion punch and more.

Family of four tickets are $80 and include two adult tickets, two children tickets and two goodie bags.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Robinstheatre.com and at the box office, 160 E. Market St.

Shuttic, Dovey Wuvey Art Exhibition to Open

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – An opening reception for an art exhibition by James Shuttic and Dovey Wuvey will take place Friday, Feb. 11, from 6-9 p.m. at Art House on Elm, 906 Elm St., North Side.

The show was rescheduled from last its original date, which was canceled because of inclement weather.
Mask wearing is encouraged for all planning on attending.
