Michael Bolton Returns to Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Two-time Grammy Award winner Michael Bolton brings will come to Westminster College’s Orr Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.

Originally part of the 2019-2020 Celebrity Series season lineup but rescheduled due to the pandemic, the show will feature Bolton performing some of his classics such as “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” “When a Man Loves a Woman,” “Georgia On My Mind,” “Said I Loved You…But I Lied” and many more.

This event is not part of the current Celebrity Series season. Tickets from the original April 29, 2020, date will be honored.

Mistovich Art Exhibition at Fellows Gardens

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – An exhibition of art by Ron Mistovich will open Sunday, April 24, Fellows Riverside Gardens’ Weller Gallery and run through July 24.

The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mistovich had a long career as an art educator, teaching for 35 years in Struthers City Schools and also serving as adjunct professor in the art department at Youngstown State University. He respected for his abstract painting and as an art educator. His creativity also extended to printmaking, sculpture, enamel and jewelry. His artwork is exhibited in multiple permanent collections nationally, including The Butler Institute of American Art, as well as many private collections.

Art Programs at Jewish Community Center

YOUNGSTOWN – The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering four art programs in May.

Mother’s Day Memories, May 4. Participants will use mixed media to create a gift. Two options are available: 5 to 6 p.m. for ages 5 to 9 and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 10 to 14. The cost is $10 for JCC members and $15 for nonmembers. Registration deadline is April 29.

Macrame Plant Hangers and Painted Pots, May 11. Participants will paint a beautiful pot and learn the basics of macrame to create a hanger for hanging plants. Class is from 6 to. 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for JCC members and $25 for nonmembers.  Registration deadline is May 6.

The Art of Gelliplate Printmaking, May 18.  Individuals will learn the technique of gelliplate printmaking and apply it to collage. Class is from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  The cost is $20 for JCC members and $25 for nonmembers. Registration deadline is May 13.

Fused Glass Suncatchers, May 25. Participants will design a hanging suncatcher with kiln-fired glass. Class is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for JCC members and $25 for nonmembers. Registration deadline is May 20.
