Thomases Endowment Awards $10,000 Grant to Oh Wow!

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Thomases Family Endowment of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Oh Wow! Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology to support its educational programming for students in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

The president and executive director of Oh Wow, Suzanne Barbati, made the announcement Monday.

Barbati expressed her appreciation to the endowment and the Jewish Federation and noted, “We are able to offer quality programming at a steep discount for field trips because of the very generous support of the Thomases endowment.”

Oh Wow, in the downtown, describes its mission as “fostering independent thinking and enriching the lives of all children through the exploration of hands-on exhibits and educational programs rooted in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.”
