Thrift & Thrive Supports Youngstown Blue Coats with Donation
POLAND, Ohio – As part of its ongoing mission to support area nonprofit organizations, Thrift & Thrive at the Farm recently announced that the Youngstown Blue Coats was the recipient of its October donation.
Thrift & Thrive, located at 3279 E. Western Reserve Road, sells new and used donated goods. The store donates a portion of its proceeds monthly to local nonprofit organizations.
“The Youngstown Blue Coats actively serves area homeless individuals, including identifying where they live and caring for and assisting them, especially during winter. We are proud to support this organization,” said Jody Cercone, Thrift & Thrive operator.
Youngstown Blue Coats, based in Hubbard, collects and distributes warming items – including socks, coats, boots, gloves, hats, sleeping bags, ground mats, tents and more – to homeless individuals in the area. The organization is funded entirely by donations and grants and is run by a volunteer team that works with area agencies to provide individuals with specific resources.
