Tim Hortons to Open on Belmont Avenue Next Month

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Tim Hortons, Canada’s largest restaurant chain, plans to open its first northeastern Ohio location on Belmont Avenue at Goldie Road with the grand opening taking place March 21.

The Tim Hortons will be under the ownership of TH Cleveland, a Beachwood-based developer established in 2017 to oversee the building, operations and marketing of Tim Hortons restaurants in northeastern Ohio. TH Cleveland recently took ownership of several Tim Hortons in the Columbus area and plans to open stores in Girard and Austintown this year.

“We’ve received so much positive feedback from the residents of northeast Ohio, and we’re excited to finally bring Tim Hortons to this region,” said Mandy Davis, director of marketing for TH Cleveland, in a statement. “We are committed to providing Tim Hortons’ signature coffee blends, baked goods and breakfast and lunch choices to the community, starting with the new Belmont Avenue restaurant.”

To promote the new restaurant, TH Cleveland is looking to recruit “Timbassadors” who will help spread the word about the new restaurant openings via social media, Davis said, and in return receive certain perks.

Tim Hortons, an operating unit of Restaurant Brands International, was founded as a single location in Canada in 1964. Its menu includes premium coffee, hot and cold specialty drinks, fresh baked goods, grilled panini and classic sandwiches, wraps, soups and other food products.
