TNP Expands Fresh Produce Availability in Warren
WARREN, Ohio – 960 Quick Shop is now offering fresh fruits and vegetables.
Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership has been expanding fresh produce availability in Trumbull County through the Healthy Community Store Initiative since 2020. This effort has served to address food access challenges and foster relationships between food distribution companies and store owners within the area.
The store, located at 960 Mahoning Ave. NW, is the eighth convenience store in Warren to pilot produce with TNP.
“This store is important to many residents in the Northwest neighborhoods, and by bringing fresh produce to this store, we are meeting residents where they’re at,” said Lydia Walls, TNP’s food access coordinator. “Choosing healthier food options without having to go far is made possible through this initiative.”
The produce currently available includes apples, bananas, oranges, peppers, onions and potatoes. Customers are also encouraged to put in their requests of what they would like the store to offer.
Any convenience store in Trumbull County is welcome to join the initiative.
