TNP Looks at Quality Of Life in Communities

WARREN — Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, the managing entity of the Trumbull County Land Bank, has expanded its programming efforts to address quality of life in communities.

TNP met its goals in 2022, leveraging resources to continue its fight against blight in Warren and Trumbull County, says Matt Martin, executive director.

In 2022, TNP conducted 35 home repairs in Warren and Trumbull County and bolstered its partnerships with both the city and county to make more funding available to the public through the American Rescue Plan, Martin says.

TNP also began to expand its work on revitalizing derelict and abandoned properties, leveraging its efforts toward the increased demolition of vacant commercial buildings and the remediation of former brownfields sites, Martin says.

TNP partnered with the city of Warren to assist in the demolition of the former St. Joseph Riverside Hospital and helped organize residents around a potential future use of the site.

More commercial sites will be targeted for remediation in 2023, Martin says.
