Tony DiTommaso Jr.: Salute to Labor Achievement Award

BOARDMAN, Ohio – Tony DiTommaso Jr., senior representative for the Central Midwest Carpenters Council and financial secretary for Carpenters Local 171, is this year’s recipient of the Salute to Labor Achievement Award, presented by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.

The Regional Chamber will recognize six business leaders, including DiTommaso, at its annual Salute to Business breakfast Aug. 29.

“I’m so honored to receive such an award. I stand here on the shoulders of the people who came before me,” DiTommaso says. “My father was a union carpenter. Me and all my brothers became union carpenters because we understood it was a good way to make a living. I was very happy to have my father see his children take it to the next level.”
