Ashley Totin, a project engineer with America Makes, recently received the Mahoning Valley Young Professional Engineer of the Year award. The honor was presented by the Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center in Warren in partnership with the Valley Alliance for Science and Technology. Totin joined America Makes in February and previously completed an internship with the advanced manufacturing hub. In her new role, she manages technical programs as the regional point of contact, and supports America Makes Workforce and Education development. “Ashley exhibits all the characteristics and drive necessary for a successful career in engineering, as well as having a passion for additive manufacturing,” said Rob Gorham, executive director of America Makes, in recognizing Totin and her award.
