Tower Climbers in High Demand

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio – Representatives from Tri County Tower visited Jackson-Milton High School juniors and seniors to discuss career opportunities in construction related to building, maintaining, repairing and decommissioning towers used for cellphones, radios and broadcasting.

Students were given the opportunity to wear the same safety equipment professionals use in the field when climbing towers.

“In this industry, there’s only about 15,000 people that actually do tower climbing,” says Elyssa Thomas. “There’s a big need, especially in this area.”
