Trailstar to Hire 50 with $9.3M Expansion
ALLIANCE, Ohio — Trailstar International Inc. is breaking ground on a $9.3 million project that it expects will create 50 new jobs, according to a release.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. May 29 for the expansion at Trailstar’s location at 20700 Harrisburg Westville Road in Smith Township.
The manufacturer of trailers will add an 85,000 square-foot shop, office and showroom there. It will also house the manufacturing operations for its line of custom aluminum and steel dump trailers.
“We had simply outgrown our existing capacity in the facility, and this expansion allows us to continue to meet our customers’ ever-growing demands,” Tom Hahn, president, said in a statement. “This project has been a long time in development, and we are truly excited to finally be breaking ground on this investment.”
In addition to the jobs created, Trailstar expects the project to retain 48 positions, the company said.
The general contractor for the project, C. Tucker Cope and Associates, will join the company for the event. Attendance is by company invitation only. Trailstar also expects a ribbon-cutting celebration upon completion of the facility in spring 2020.
