Trumbull Commissioners OK Contract with Lake to River
WARREN, Ohio – Trumbull County commissioners voted unanimously to approve a 12-month, $45,000 contract with Lake to River Economic Development to continue its economic development efforts in the county.
“We’re grateful for the support from our partners in Trumbull County and excited about the volume of prospective economic development activity that we’re managing here,” said Alexa Sweeney Blackann, Lake to River interim CEO.
Lake to River is the new regional network partner of JobsOhio serving Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties.
In Trumbull County, Lake to River leads business, retention and expansion efforts, as well as the attraction of new investment by providing a range of economic development services by assisting companies in identifying suitable properties, coordinating project incentives, providing strategic information for company decision-makers and more.
“Lake to River is a vital economic development partner for Trumbull County, helping to strengthen our relationships with existing businesses and attracting new ones to the area,” said Julie Green, director of the Trumbull County Planning Commission.
Lake to River is currently managing several pending projects in Trumbull County that are expected to be announced within the next 12 to 24 months, totaling more than $70 million in investments.
