Trumbull Renews Contract with Regional Chamber
WARREN, Ohio – The Trumbull County Board of Commissioners has approved a new contract with the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber to continue to provide economic development services in Trumbull County.
The 12-month contract, totaling $23,000, will enable the chamber to continue its multifaceted economic development efforts throughout Trumbull County, the chamber announced Monday.
William Cann, Trumbull County economic development manager for the chamber, will serve the county’s business community through daily retention and expansion visits as part of the multifaceted service called for in the contract, the chamber said.
“During 2014 the regional chamber had significant involvement in seven Trumbull County projects totaling $111 million of investment, and the creation of 437 new jobs with an estimated annual payroll of more than $23 million. In addition, the investment resulted in 310 retained jobs,” reported Sarah Boyarko, the chamber’s vice president of economic development North America.
“In taking a look at the pending opportunities we are currently managing projects totaling over $1.4 billion of investment, we’re looking forward to another successful year of business growth in Trumbull County,” she continued.
