YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Police Department reports more than 20,000 reservations have been received for tomorrow’s visit by President Donald Trump.

Trump will hold a rally at 7 p.m. at the Covelli Centre.

The city-owned venue only accommodates 7,000 patrons, the police department advisory noted. Doors for the event open at 4 p.m.

In addition to traffic restrictions consistent with a “sold out” event at the Covelli Centre, southbound traffic on the South Avenue Bridge will be closed beginning at 4 p.m. The public is encouraged to avoid the east end of downtown unless attending the event. Other announced street restrictions and closings may occur, according to the advisory.

A protest of Trump’s visit also is planned for 5:30-7 p.m. at Central Square.

And the Ohio Democratic Party says it will hold a news conference tomorrow morning outside Northside Medical Center at 500 Gypsy Lane. On hand will be the state party chairman, David Pepper, and mayoral candidate Tito Brown.
