Trump to Headline Sept. 17 Youngstown Rally for Vance

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Former President Donald Trump will headline a Sept. 17 rally at the Covelli Centre in support of J.D. Vance’s campaign for U.S. Senate.

Doors will open at 2 p.m. for the event, with guest speakers delivering remarks beginning at 4 p.m., according to an email from the Covelli Centre. Trump is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. in support of Vance, the Republican nominee for the Senate seat being vacated by Rob Portman, and “the entire Ohio Trump Ticket.”

Vance, a bestselling author and venture capitalist, won Ohio’s GOP primary after Trump endorsed his candidacy.

He is running against U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, D-13 Ohio, who was elected in 2022 to the northeastern Ohio district that includes Youngstown in 2002. Ryan has outpaced Vance in fundraising throughout the campaign and been competitive in polling, leaving many election forecasters to consider the race too close to call.

Tickets to the rally are available at this link.
